INSIDER IDEAS TO PLANNING YOUR WEDDING!

When you’re planning your wedding, there are already 101 things you have to think about. But what about those things you forgot, or didn’t know you were supposed to think about?! Here are a few tips I’ve picked up along the way that will hopefully help you in your journey. Why reinvent the wheel, right?

To First Look or Not

This one ALWAYS comes up! Here are some PROS: 1) You can emote without 200 people watching 2) You get some one-on-one time with each other 3) You can bust out all your photos before the ceremony and leave the rest of the time open for festivities 4) You won’t need a cocktail hour = cheaper. CONS: 1) Not traditional 2) Can take away from the big feelings when walking down the aisle. Don’t forget that the first touch is a great option, too!

Do Something Unique

With social media and Pinterst at our fingertips, its easy to get pulled into the trends and making your wedding "perfect." But in the long run, we are all going to end up looking back at these photos in 40 years marveling at how the trends have changed. So do something JUST for you two. Think of something that brings you joy, or makes you smile, or has special meaning and incorporate it into your day. You won't regret it.

Consider the Prep Space

One of the biggest parts of the day that is documented during your wedding day is done in the bridal suite and groom's room. When choosing your venue (or airbnb, hotel, etc), keep in mind that a good deal of your photos will be done there and it can really contribute to the beauty of your photos! Plus, don't we all just love being in pretty places vs. dark or blah places?

Details Matter

Everything wedding related costs money and sometimes, we think we can get by skimping on the details. But I'm here to tell you that those are absolutely worth investing in! You can have the most basic, simple location and fill it with amazing details and I promise, you AND your guests will notice.

Choose colors wisely

Sometimes, we get caught up in our favorite colors but something to stop and think about is if those colors are A) timeless, B) complimentary and C) good on all skin tones. In my experience, you truly can’t go wrong with neutrals or jewel tones! Those are winning options every time.
